The Wild Blackthorn
In Memoriam
Honoring Our Ancestors
The Wild Blackthorn remembers with love and gratitude those who have walked before us. Their wisdom, courage, and devotion shaped the path we now tread. Though they have crossed the veil, their presence remains woven into our Tradition, guiding us still.
Lady Jolea "Teara Wolfrose" staples-Kolstee
High Priestess of the Earth Mother’s Child Church of Wicca and Founder of the Jolean Tradition
Lady Teara was a passionate and outspoken presence in Pagan communities across California, Washington State, and later Florida.
A devoted teacher, ritualist, and cherished friend, she poured her heart and dedication into guiding her students with unwavering commitment. Gifted in many artistic forms, sculpture, drawing, painting, stained glass, music, and poetry, her creative spirit enriched all who knew her.
After a courageous five-year battle with lymphoma, Lady Teara crossed the veil in 2004. She now reigns among the honored ancestors of our Tradition, her light forever shining within us.
Be Blessed, Lady Teara. May your spirit continue to guide and inspire all who walk this path.
Pat "ShyDragon" Weeks
Member of the Draconian Tradition and Magical Partner of Lady Nyt
Pat, known to many as Shy Dragon, was a respected practitioner of the Draconian Tradition, a dedicated teacher, and the magical partner of Lady Nyt during a formative period in the development of what would later become the Wild Blackthorn Tradition.
Together they explored ritual, magical practice, and the deeper mysteries of the Craft. Many of the concepts, techniques, and philosophies that continue to shape the Wild Blackthorn Tradition today grew from their shared work, study, and friendship.
Although Shydragon was never a member of the Tradition, his wisdom and influence remain woven throughout its foundations.
Shydragon crossed the veil in 2010. Today, he is honored among the cherished ancestors of the Wild Blackthorn Tradition, his legacy continuing to inspire all who walk this path.
Be Blessed, Shydragon. You are deeply missed.
Lord Jason "Crowsong" Harrison
High Priest and Lifetime Student of Witchcraft
A lifelong student of the Craft, Crowsong devoted himself to the study of Green Witchcraft, Hoodoo, Vodou, Sacred Geometry, and Druidry. Throughout his journey, he served as High Priest of two covens in Florida and remained committed to expanding his knowledge, service to the community and to his beloved partner. His studies included training within Christopher Penczak's tradition and, in his later years, the Wild Blackthorn Tradition, reflecting his enduring belief that the path of a witch is one of continual growth and learning.
Crowsong's legacy lives on in the students he taught, the communities he served, and the friendships he cultivated throughout his life.
Be Blessed Crowsong, and may your spirit find peace as you journeys beyond the veil.
We remember. We honor. We continue the work.
May the ancestors walk beside us, and may their wisdom never fade.
